Richard "Dicky" Mopper was born, educated, and remains a prominent influence in the beautiful "hostess city" of Savannah. His passion for historic preservation and community revitalization has fueled his becoming one of Savannah's premiere real estate brokers.

For over 30 years Dicky has been dedicated to Savannah's real estate industry and a valuable contributor to its professional organizations. He is a life member of the Distinguished Sales Society, member of the local, state, and national Board of Realtors, and a past officer of the Savannah Board of Realtors.

Additionally, Dicky has a strong commitment to the community. He is one of the founding members of the Downtown Business Association, receiving their Successful Urban Savannah Independent Entrepreneur award in January 2005. Further accomplishments include the 2000 American Diabetes Foundation Southern Regional Award for Outstanding Community Service, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Savannah Arts Academy Foundation, the Historic Review Board, and the Savannah Development and Renewal Authority. Dicky is currently serving on the Board of Directors for The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.

Dicky's commitment doesn't stop there. In 2002 his love for the community and desire to effect positive change for all Savannahian's led him to run for Mayor. The opportunity to meet with residents taught him more about the neighborhoods that are a tribute to Savannah's diversity.

During his successful career, Dicky has participated in some the city's most remarkable real estate projects, including the restoration and conversion of Lowden Place, the ongoing commercial revitalization and urbanization of Broughton Street, and the restoration of many exceptional homes throughout the Historic and Victorian Districts - including the one he shares with his family. Current projects include the "Rebirth" of the famous Drayton Tower, and several historic townhouses and is actively involved in the marketing of the Lindsey and Morgan Building, and the Residences on Forsyth.

Susan Kornegay

Sales Manager

During her 17 years of practicing real estate, Susan has co-owned several real estate companies, is currently licensed as an Associate Broker in the State of Georgia, and is Sales Manager for Mopper-Stapen, Realtors of Savannah, GA. Having been a highly successful real estate agent early in her career, she decided to utilize her education degree from Auburn University and apply it to teaching others in real estate. She is a licensed instructor with the Georgia Real Estate Commission for both pre-license and post-license coursework. Susan attributes her success to the training she has received as evidenced by the following designations she holds: ABR, ABRM, CRS, CRB, and GRI. In addition, she holds the coveted Certified Relocation Professional, (CRP), which is earned through the Employee Relocation Council. Susan has always been active in her local boards, having served as President of the Dublin Board of Realtors. She currently serves as a Director of the Savannah Multi-List Corporation, is active on the Board Education Committee and is a Past Director of the Savannah Area Board of Realtors.

Family has always been first in her life having been married to the same man for 30 years and their raising 2 children. Susan is quick to say that working smart, not hard, is the key to success.
