Tom joined Mopper-Stapen, Realtors in 2004 after many years of experience in the Residential, Industrial, and Commercial construction market. Tom currently holds four construction technology patents that are being used throughout the United States and foreign countries. While active, Tom was president and part co-owner of five major Construction Companies located in New York (2), Connecticut, New Jersey and Florida, before his temporary retirement.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Tom moved to Savannah in 1999 after his first visit to the area. From 1999 through 2004 Tom continued to work as a consultant to the construction industry while also promoting his construction technology patent both Nationally and World Wide.

Tom has served as President in several construction related Associations, some of which were National. During his fifty years in construction, Tom played an active role in negotiations with Organized Labor, as well as dealing with Foreign Countries while promoting his technology. As President of the various Associations in which Tom was involved in, along with his five major companies, Tom had an important role in decision making. This combined experience has enabled Tom to develop negotiation and decision making skills that are beneficial to his role in Real Estate.


Tom's past experience and success in the construction industry has been extremely helpful to both buyers and sellers of housing and investment properties. In the short period of time that Tom has been in Real Estate, Tom holds the GRI, ABR, and Realtor designations, in addition to being an Associate Broker. Tom also serves as a director on Savannah's Interealty Multi-List Service. His involvement in whatever endeavor he commits to is a testament of how he treats his Clients and Customers.

Tom and his wife live in the Downtown Historic District of Savannah. He is a member of the Savannah Historic Foundation, The Savannah Exchange Club, The Savannah Coastal Heritage Society, The American Legion, and is very active with The Cancer Society. In his free time Tom loves to travel, spend time with family and friends and occasionally play some golf.
